Hi Michelle,
I suppose you posted your comments at one of the most highly commented post because you wanted people to read it. Sure. Let me help you. Here's a blog post specially dedicated to the topic you raised.

Posting here because this is probably the highest commented post.
I want to thank the creators for the site .. i have won a pair of movie tickets from the insing contest.
I think it is commendable for you guys to be doing this. However I've got something to say.
I am a contest lover and enjoy in hunting down hidden contests. Because it is far fetched there are less people participating and hence the greater chances of winning. Maybe this explains why i love doing it so much - I get to win. Your blog however, had brought to light many of these "hidden" contests i have loved scavenging for. It's good for the community as a whole. However, this means that as the group gets bigger, the contests become harder and harder to win, which essentially is the reason for a contest blog to begin with. You may say it's a luck thing, but technicalities do play a part - just like gambling. I'm afraid to say that the blog might just have alignment problems to it's goals it had from the beginning with this rapid expansion in size.
In addition, it also means it only requires a click of a button to join a contest. I see many males entering contests specifically for women (through women's magazine) Does the publishers want to attract them? I dont think so.
Well, i guess you gain some, you lose some.
I like it that you giveaway the prizes you have won. Unlike another similar blog which intentions are quite ambiguous. I mean, i mean if the site is plastered with ads, the motives are pretty obvious isn't it. I decline to name which, but to fellow regulars, it's pretty obvious. Thankfully contestjunkie is not like that.
Once again, thank you. What are your views?
Views from first respondent coming up. From me :)
You are welcome.
Congrats for winning the pair of movie tickets from insing.
I remembered I said before in a post (Long time back) that if the prize is meant to be yours, it's yours. Basically, yes, luck.
But 3 years on and with the current readership now, I do notice that I don't win those luck based contests as often now. I agree. The technicalities and probability counts too. You must have hate it, and perhaps many others too, when you folks have joined a contest and shortly after, we greatly reduced your chances of winning by blogging about it. Opps. ;p
The pertinent point you brought up could very well be the reason why readers don't send in much contest leads to us anymore. Heart thinking: "Kill chances" right? Ha. Things have pretty much evolved here. We still receive a constant flow of contest leads but these days, the people who send them in are from organizing companies.
Am I still winning stuff? Well, yes. Lesser? Yes too. But if that's because I've won before from some companies (especially those who regularly hold contests) and they made sure I'm not going to be choosen again so soon just so more people get a chance to win and be happy, I will not be surprised. So could that be one of the reasons why you don't win as much now?... because you have won a lot already?
Competition is indeed tougher. But when we do win among tough competition, that makes us a tough winner, the best among the best! It's extremely satisfying, no? Or you just want the prize. And you don't really care if you won because your entry is the better one out of the 2 miserable entries the contest received ;p Ok. Satisfaction is my way of self consolation. I wish I won more stuff. But I recognize that I can't be lucky all the time and I can't win all the contests out there. Not everyday is Sunday.
My question to you Michelle is will you rather that this contest blog never existed so that contests remain hidden and you stand a higher chance of winning?
