The COA Essay Competition was conceptualised in 1998 to achieve two objectives – to serve as a means to get in-service personnel thinking about the challenges and issues confronting the Army, and to promote a writing culture within the Army.
The 11th COA Essay Competition will comprise a single open topic, in which participants can write on any topic of their interest that is relevant to the Army. The 11 guidelines listed below highlight the current issues of concern in the Army. Participants should feel free to use them as reference.
